Common Cause Indiana is teaming up with Southeast Community Services to hold a People's Promise Townhall meeting on August 14th from 6 - 8 p.m. 

This event will encourage a discussion about how budget cuts at the state and federal levels are impacting our communities.  We'll have a panel of experts discussing changes to SNAP, Medicaid and other vital programs, and event hosts will be asking audience members to share stories of how their families are being impacted.  There will be tips to help participants share their stories of impact with their elected officials. 

Hear from experts about how the "Big Beautiful Bill" and state budget will impact you, what resources are available to help fill gaps,  and how we can push back and demand our lawmakers protect access to basic human needs like food and health care. 

Panelists include: Executive Director of the Indiana Justice Project, Adam Mueller, JD, Executive Director of Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, Emily Weikert Bryant, District 46’s State Senator Andrea Hunley, and Founder of Project Salud, Dr. Natalie Guerrero!
