Rent Smart: Know and Use Your Renters' Rights

This event is for renters and advocates to learn about renters’ rights.

• Do you have questions about what landlords are legally allowed to do?

• Do you think your rights or the rights of others as tenants are being violated?

• Do you want to learn about how you can leverage your power as a renter?

In this presentation, attendees will learn about renter’s rights under Indiana law and where the protections fall short. The second half will focus on how to connect with other tenants to increase access to adequate housing through a unified renter base.

Congregation leaders and housing advocates are encouraged to attend to be able to educate their congregants and neighbors.
